Happy 4th Birthday to our sweet Gabriella!

Today Gabriella turned 4 years old! It's so hard to believe that our baby has already hit this milestone. It's rather cliche but appropriate - we truly feel like we just brought her home from the hospital. Gabby has grown up to be a fun-loving, outgoing and smart little girl. We are truly blessed! We spent time celebrating her birthday the last couple of days. We had a lot of fun!

Gabriella this morning before her dance lesson. She loves Spider-Man and as you will soon see it was this year's birthday theme.

Playing with her new toys. She loves Barbies. She got this one from Adriana for her birthday.

Just being silly! She decided she wanted to wear a fancy dress today in celebration of her fourth year. She was a stylin' birthday girl!

She made her first batch of Easy Bake microwave cakes after dinner. She was very proud of herself. Thanks Grandpa Hardy for the fun gift. She has wanted one of these since the Christmas season.

Party Time!

(Personal contact info has been blacked out.)

Before her party. She was so excited!

Flying down the slide with Colten!

About to swing like Spidey!

Having a blast with friends!

Weee!! Daddy and Adriana going down the slide. Adriana wasn't a fan.

Her favorite activity at the gym - the trampoline!

Birthday cake!

Singing "Happy Birthday!"

Making a wish.

Gift time! Gabby received so many fun gifts from her friends.

After the party, we invited our families over to our house for dinner and a family gift opening and cake. Gabby received more wonderful gifts. She is a very lucky girl!

Opening her Easy Bake batter and icing mixes.

Gabby and Adriana playing with Woody and Jessie from Toy Story. Nonna & G-Pa bought Gabby the dolls for her birthday. Today they watched Toy Story 2 while holding them. It was so cute!

Singing "Happy Birthday!" again. Mommy and Daddy surprised Gabby with a giant cupcake. She has wanted one of these since she saw the first infomercial before Christmas.

Making another wish! Twice the fun.

Our family before the girls went off to bed Sunday night.

Thank you to all who celebrated with Gabby this weekend. She had a fun and exciting 4th birthday!

We love you Gabriella! We hope you have a spectacular year ahead! You are one special little girl!

We're Moving!

Yep, you read it right...we are moving! In late January, David was offered and accepted a position as Vice President for commercial lending with a bank in Tulsa, Oklahoma!

As many of you know, David will graduate with his MBA in May. In March, he will finish attending class and then will have a couple of independent study courses to complete before the end of the semester. Two weeks ago David began working at the bank's headquarters in Kansas City, and after he finishes attending his class here, he will start in Tulsa.

When the girls and I move will depend on when we sell the house. We listed it with a real estate agent early last week. At this point, we are going to play it by ear. We truly hope and pray the house sells in the next couple of months.

We are very excited about this new chapter in our lives, and we'll keep you posted as things progress!

In an effort to be funny, I've posted a link to a clip from FRIENDS, one of my all-time favorite TV shows. The clip in no way represents how David's job offer/acceptance went down or how we feel about moving to Tulsa, but in true FRIENDS fashion it's hilarious and about Tulsa!

Happy Valentine's Day! Sending love and kisses your way!

Happy Valentine's Day! We hope you had a day full of love and sweetness like we did! Unfortunately, Mondays are Daddy's busy days. After work he has class so we exchanged gifts last night before bed. Mommy and Daddy gave the girls cards, homemade valentines, light-up heart pens and candies.

Opening their cards and valentines.

They loved the heart pens.

We finished up Gabby's valentines for her classmates last night, too. She made each friend a homemade valentine and put it with a bag of sweet tarts in a cellophane heart bag. She wrote her name on each valentine, too. She is doing a great job writing her name and letters.

Such a big girl!

Looking at her valentines from her friends while at her class party.

The girls running around and having fun today. It's hard to get them together in a picture these days as Adriana is on the move. This is the best I could do!

Adriana wasn't digging the camera this evening. She wanted me to hold her instead.

Gabriella loves to pose.

Still not a fan of the camera.

Sweetness!

Super Bowl, Tangled, Snow and Valentines

The Green Bay Packers are Super Bowl Champs! We watched the game on Sunday night with Aunt Bridget and Aunt Megan. We had quite a few Cheeseheads in the house who were happy with the turnout. Gabriella and Adriana sported both GB and Steelers apparel throughout the game.

Gabby waving her Terrible Towel as the Steelers take the field. (Note: She is wearing her Packers shirt!)

Cheering on both teams!

During the second half, the girls wore their Pittsburgh pjs.

On Monday, Gabby kept asking me why the Packers won the game. I replied, "Because they played better." Gabby's response, "But, I wanted the Steelers to win!" She was heartbroken much like the entire city of Pittsburgh. So for now, the Super Bowl title returns to Title Town and Pittsburgh remains Sixburgh!

On Friday, we brought the girls to see Tangled. They both really enjoyed it as did Mommy and Daddy. This was Adriana's first movie and she did really well sitting through it.

Getting a big bucket of popcorn before the movie.

Watching the previews.

Yummy popcorn!

Last week we survived a blizzard which brought somewhere between 8-10 inches of snow and enormous snow drifts. Needless to say, we stayed indoors for a couple of days and of course experienced cabin fever.

 Our backyard.

We made funfetti cookies as the snow came down.

Delicious!
