G-Pa's Visit

This passed weekend G-PA visited for a long weekend. Friday was his birthday so when he arrived on Saturday we started our celebration!

After G-Pa opened his cards and gifts we took some pics of him and the girls.
After dinner, we sang "Happy Birthday!"
G-Pa bought the girls an inflatable pool for our backyard and they love it! We are still experiencing well over 100 degree temperatures daily so now we can enjoy water play even after our neighborhood pool closes next week.
Having fun!
She's such a sweetie!
Gabby loved the slide. SPLASH!
We had a wonderful visit with G-Pa! Thanks G for a fun weekend!

Back to School!

Well, we are sad summer is over, but a new school year is always exciting! This week was back to school! We had fun getting back into the swing of things.

They had their first dance classes. Gabriella is enrolled in a Ballet/Tap/Jazz class and Adriana is in Baby Ballet. They had fun dancing around the house before their first class. They love wearing their pink tights, leotards and ballet slippers.
Gabby remembered the ballet positions from last year. I was impressed!
Hugs!
They love each other!

Gabby had her first day of PreK! Her school requires uniforms/dress code so she decided to wear red rather than navy blue on her first day. She was so excited to go to school and meet new friends. She will attend two full days a week. She had a great first day. She walked right into her classroom and almost forgot to kiss us goodbye. It was business as usual for her but of course Mommy cried!

She is such a big girl! It's hard to believe this is her last year before Kindergarten. Time really does fly by quickly.
Adriana was excited for Gabby, too. When we left Gabby's school Adriana asked me, "Where's my school?" I am working on getting her into a preschool/daycare one day a week since she loves playing with other kids. Adriana is growing up quickly, too. She talks in very long and complete sentences. She speaks clearly, too.
Love her!

Here's to a great 2011-12 school year!

Happy 30th Birthday, Daddy!

Happy Birthday, Daddy! We know you weren't all that excited to turn 30 today, but we tried to make your day as special as you are!

The girls greeted Daddy in bed with his birthday cards. His gift this year was a new business suit. He has to wear one every day to work so it will be very useful, and it's really nice!
He enjoyed the cards. After cards, we had breakfast. Mommy made a breakfast casserole.
After church, we brought Daddy out to lunch. Then we made his favorite shish kabobs for dinner! And then cake!
Singing "Happy Birthday!"
Make a wish Daddy!
Adriana decided to eat her cake without a fork. It was pretty hilarious!
Daddy with his girls.

Adriana loves her Daddy and Daddy loves her, too.
We hope you had a wonderful birthday, Daddy! We love you so much no matter how old/young you are!

Last Saturday, Gabby had her last t-ball game. She did great! She had so much fun this summer participating.

What a slugger!

This picture and the next two are a sequence of her fielding a ball to first.

After the game, Gabriella got a medal and a snack. She was so happy!

Since we brought snacks to this game, Adriana got to have one with the team again.

Later in the afternoon, we headed to Coffeyville, which is about an hour away, to visit with Dad's fraternity brother and his family. Chris and Ashley have a little boy, Lincoln, and two infant twin girls, Leah and Leighton. The kids had so much fun!

The girls and Lincoln watching a movie. The kids had a lot of fun as did the parents. We hope to see them again soon!

Sea World, pool, beach and sunshine - We love Florida!

On Tuesday we came back from a full week in Florida! We had a great time visiting Nonna and G-Pa in Naples. Uncle Sammy, Aunt Connie and Cousin Kylee visited while we were there, too, so we had an extra fun time spending the week with family. One of our first days in the Sunshine State we spent in Orlando and visited Sea World. The girls had a blast!

Adriana feeding stingrays. It was so cool how close you could get to them in the corral.
Gabby had a great time, too. Look at its head above water.

Gabriella and Nonnie.

G-Pa, Adriana and Daddy.
The awesome Blue Horizons show with dolphins and tropical birds. So entertaining!

Family photo.
Sea World has rides, too. We rode the Jazzy Jellyfish. Pretty fun!
What's a visit to Sea World without seeing Shamu? What a wonderful and exciting show!

Daddy and Gabby rode the Shamu mini roller coaster. Gabby wasn't too fond of this one. She loved going up, but when it came down she was a bit freaked out.

We spent a day at the beach and a beach resort. It was a beautiful day and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Gabriella loved playing in the sand. She built all kinds of things.
Adriana wasn't a big fan of the sand and gulf water. She spent a little time in it but enjoyed the pool much more.
Mommy and Adriana
Adriana and Kylee in the pool. The girls loved playing with Kylee.
Stylin' Adriana.
We played ring-around-the-rosy in the pool. "Ring-around-the rosy, pocket full of posy. Ashes, ashes..."
"We all fall down!"
And then we popped up for air.
Adriana and G-Pa.
The girls did some fishing with G-Pa and Daddy near N & G's house. N & G bought them their own Tinkerbell fishing poles.
Making art with the seashells they found on the beach.
Watching Beauty and the Beast with Aunt Connie.

And with Uncle Sammy.

Playing with food - olives.

Princess Adriana enjoying Doritos poolside. Ah, vacation!

Gabby and Uncle Sammy having a tea party poolside. The girls loved playing with Uncle Sammy, Aunt Connie and Kylee during our visit.

Thank you Nonnie & G-Pa for a fabulous visit! We enjoyed every bit of it. It was a memorable week spent with family...what could be better?
