Happy 1st Birthday, Adriana!

Happy Birthday to our sweet baby girl, Adriana! Saturday was her first birthday and it was a wonderful day! Today we celebrated with family and friends at her pumpkin/fall theme party. It was a special weekend!

Yesterday morning we had Adriana's gifts ready for her when she woke up in the morning.

Waiting for her birthday pancakes.

She loves her wagon! Especially when she rides with Gabriella.

Big Sis helping her open her gifts.

After breakfast, we headed to Hutchinson to visit Uncle Tommy and Aunt Danielle and to attend Hutch's game against Fort Scott. Nonna is visiting us this week so all 5 of us made the 3 hour drive across the state.

Hanging out with Uncle Tommy and Aunt Danielle before the game.

Enjoying her birthday Oreo after dinner.

Gabby had one, too. Check out her orange tooth.

The Blue Dragons won! They are now 5-0!

Giving Uncle Tommy a congratulatory hug after the game.

This morning we left Hutch early so that we could make it back home for Adriana's pumpkin birthday party. After her nap, we dressed Adriana in her party outfit that Nonna and G-Pa bought her! Isn't she the cutest pumpkin?!

With her stylish hat!

Labor Day 2010

We had a really nice Labor Day weekend. Nonna & G-Pa visited us last week - it was so nice to see them again. On Saturday, before N & G headed back to Florida, we went to Independence, KS to see Hutch play ICC. The Blue Dragons won, 55-26!

Warming up before the game.

On Labor Day we went to Deanna Rose Farmstead in Overland Park. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. This is our second visit to the farm, and this time we explored a few places we missed during our last visit. This is a wonderful place for children and families. We will definitely will go back again.

Gabby was a little hesitant of the goats at first but eventually warmed up to them.

What a beautiful butterfly!

Adriana wasn't too happy about taking this photo.

Adriana is 11 months & Gabriella's first dance lessons

It's hard to believe Adriana turned 11 months today! She is a busy girl... crawling all over the house and into everything, pulling herself onto anything she can grab onto and talking like crazy! She can say "Daddy," "Mama," "Gabby," "Doggie," and "Uh-oh." She is just a chatterbox and a lot of fun! These are a few pictures from this morning. She loves playing with this lion. She gets a kick out of the music he plays when you touch his nose and it lights up.

Reaching for his nose so he will sing.

Look at that smile. It melts my heart. She has two teeth on the bottom and two are coming in on top.

Standing up and trying to walk. Not quite there yet.

Gabby started her beginning ballet/jazz/tumbling class a few weeks ago. She is so excited about this class and just loves her new ballet shoes.

Dancing in the house before her first lesson a few weeks ago.

Sorry the next two pictures aren't the best quality. I took them through the one-way mirror at the studio.

Gabby is wearing black. They are warming up.

Gabby is the second one from the left in black. I love how adorable they look at the bar. Our little girl is growing up! She turned 3 1/2 last Saturday.

Happy 29th Birthday, Daddy!

Yesterday was Daddy's 29th Birthday! We had a great weekend celebrating with him. On Friday, while he was at work, we baked his favorite birthday cake - angel food cake with chocolate mint frosting. Gabby did a good job icing the cake (and she took a few licks here and there, too!)

It takes great concentration.

Adriana watched us while having a snack.

Adriana now will put up her arms whenever you ask her "How big is Adriana?" After she signals with her arms, we say "So big!" It's so cute and it didn't take long for her to learn this "trick."

Saturday morning we all got up bright and early (courtesy of our "roosters" - Gabriella and Adriana). Daddy opened up his birthday gifts from us - workout clothes, dress shirts and a casual shirt. Gabby surprised him with a special painting she made for him, which she said was a scooter.

Adriana doesn't sit still much these days now.

Saturday night Mommy and Daddy went out to dinner to celebrate Daddy's birthday, while Aunt Bridget watched the girls. After dinner, we came home to have cake. The girls were in their pajamas and ready for bed at this point.

Singing "Happy Birthday!"

Blowing out his candles.

Yummy cake.
