Happy 2nd Birthday, Adriana!

Happy Birthday, Adriana! We had a fun weekend celebrating Adriana's birthday! It's hard to believe our baby is already two! She is such a sweet, fun, lovable and caring little girl and we are so blessed to have her be a part of our family.

We greeted her in her crib this morning. She was so excited for her birthday. When we said, "Happy Birthday, Adri!" She said "Happy Birthday!" back to us. It was so cute! She did it all day whenever she was wished a happy birthday.
Gabby climbed into her crib to give her birthday hugs and kisses! What a wonderful big sister!
Adriana opened her gifts right after she woke up. She got coloring books and crayons. She loves to color and draw.
She also got the movie Gnomeo & Juliet. The girls love this movie and we have watched it several times already.
Her favorite gift was from Gabby. Gabby picked out a Brobee pillow from the show Yo Gabba Gabba. This is Adriana's favorite show!
Adriana gave Gabby a big hug for the gift!
Eating yummy cinnamon rolls for breakfast.
Before church in an outfit Nonnie & G-Pa got her for her birthday.
Adriana trying out her new Dora bike helmet and bike bell she got from Mommy & Daddy. Mommy and Daddy also got her Dora panties and a potty book. She seems to be in the beginning stages of showing interest in the potty. We are keeping our fingers crossed!

Birthday dinner - macaroni and meatballs! She is a true Italian Baby! It's her favorite meal and she makes a mess of it!
Singing "Happy Birthday!" Adriana got to pick out any cake she wanted and she chose a Halloween theme. So we made into a big cupcake, which she loved!
Yummy cake!

After a long day, she took a rest with her new favorite toy!

Happy Birthday, Adriana! We love you so much and hope you have a wonderful year ahead. You have brought so much love and joy to our lives. Thank you for being the caring and loving little girl that you are! We love you!

Saturday night we decided to get into the Halloween spirit and went with one of David's coworker's and his daughter to a Halloween Castle in a community not far from us in Tulsa. Once it was dark, we went on a spooky hayride, which lasted for about 20 minutes. It was pretty good and age appropriate for the girls but we couldn't take any photos. We also walked through and Enchanted Boardwalk with lots of Halloween inflatables. We had a fun time and plan to go back again next year.

There were some Disney characters. Here the girls are with Belle.

Visit to Hutch - Vincenzo's Baptism

Last week Nonnie and G-Pa came to visit us in Tulsa. On Saturday we headed to Hutchinson to watch the Blue Dragon's game, and on Sunday Vinny was baptized. We had a special weekend!

During the Hutch game. The Blue Dragons defeated Highland 90-7! It was a blowout!
After the game, the girls were given free popcorn and decided to sit in the endzone and play with the pylons as we waited for Uncle Tommy.
Adriana gave Unc a victory kiss when she saw him. Too cute!

On Sunday after church we went over to Uncle Tommy and Aunt Danielle's house for lunch and cake prior the baptism in the afternoon.

Vinny with his cake Aunt Danielle made. He's so adorable!
During his baptism, he thought Father Mick was very entertaining
Vinny's Holy Water blessing.
Vinny was a trooper and didn't fuss much at all.
Vinny with Father Mick, his parents and grandparents. Father Mick is the priest at our former church in Lawrence. He made a special visit to Hutch to perform Vinny's baptism. He is a wonderful person and we are blessed to know him.
David and I are so honored to be Vinny's Godparents. God Bless you Vincenzo!

Adriana's 2nd Birthday Party - Strawberry Style!

While in Kansas City, on Saturday afternoon we hosted (a few weeks early) Adriana's Strawberry Shortcake 2nd birthday party at Franklin Park in Prairie Village. It is a beautiful park that was recently renovated. Right before her party it poured rain but then it cleared and the children were able to play in the park. Despite the soggy start, we think everyone had a good time.

The invitation!
The birthday girl checking out the pavilion.
She was so excited to see her friends arrive.
We had to make some changes to our set up, mostly the use of the tablecloths due to the dampness, but the area still looked Strawberry Shortcake sweet!

The kids enjoying pizza, chips and juice.
Vinny and his mommy, Aunt Danielle. He is now 3 months old and has changed so much since we saw him last. He's adorable!
Aubrey D. enjoying the swing!
Aubrey T., Gabby and Colten having fun in the nature area.
The adults had fun too visiting with each other. Uncle Tommy surprised us when he arrived. The Blue Dragons played in Colorado the day before so we didn't think he'd have the time to  get to KC. Aunt Danielle and Vinny had been planning to attend, but Unc made a special effort to be there and we were so excited to see him (as well as Aunt Danielle and Vinny)!

Gift time! Adriana received so many wonderful gifts. She is very lucky to have so many great friends and family members.
Adriana's strawberry cupcake cake. It was so adorable and a hit with the guests!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Adriana's 2nd birthday! She had a great time and we hope you all did, too! Thanks Aunt Bridget for hosting us this weekend! We had so much fun!

Visit to KC - Family birthdays!

Our family spent this past weekend in Kansas City celebrating our birthdays while spending time with family and friends. When we moved to Tulsa 3 months ago, we didn't get an opportunity to see many of our friends before we left so we thought we'd return, and while there, party it up a bit!

Last month David turned 30 and next month Samantha will turn 30. We hosted a joint party at bar in Kansas City, MO on Friday night. It was so much fun and we thank everyone who came out to help us celebrate this milestone with us, especially our friends who traveled a several hours to be in KC. Here are just a few pictures. This blog is about our girls so we don't want to take away from the best celebration all weekend which was on Saturday (see above post)!

Our beer mug cupcake cake.

The birthday kids. David turned 30 on August 14 and Samantha will hit the big 3-0 on October 24.
