Halloween 2011!

Happy Halloween! We hope you had a fun and spooky night like we did! Last week we started our 6 day celebration. On Wednesday night we carved a pumpkin and the girls had a lot of fun!

Adriana didn't like to get her hands dirty but Gabby went right in!
Our jack-o-lantern! Daddy did a great job!

Thursday Gabriella had her school's costume parade and party. Daddy, Mommy and Adriana went together in the morning for the parade. Do you see the pretty pink and purple butterfly? That's our Gabby!

Look at our sweet honey bee! Adriana loved the parade of all the children.
It's hard to see her, but Gabby got so excited when she saw Adriana that she ran up to her and gave her a big hug and kiss! What a wonderful big sister!

Friday was Adriana's preschool's Halloween party. Adriana attends an in home daycare/preschool one day per week and she loves it! Gabby came in costume, too! They had a really good time!

Having their snacks.
Friday night we went to the Oklahoma Aquarium for trick-or-treating. Another fun activity!

Walking up to the Aquarium.
In addition to trick-or-treating, all of the exhibits were open. There was an underwater mermaid and pirate! This is a nice picture of the back of their costumes.
Cutest butterfly and honey bee we've ever seen!
Gabriella with a pirate. Adriana wasn't a fan so she sat this one out.

On Saturday, we brought the girls down to Brookside for outdoor trick-or-treating in the morning. Lots of candy and activities. Again, they had a blast!
In the jump house. Both couldn't stop giggling and smiling!Adriana was a little skeptical at first but once Gabby encouraged here she didn't want to get out.
Our love bugs!
This was the best part of the entire experience. The girls love Jimmy's Egg (a breakfast restaurant). Adriana always asks to go there to eat after church on Sunday. So, when they saw the Jimmy's Egg they were enthralled. Adriana was so excited she couldn't stop looking at him to take a picture. So, you can only see her back but she kept say "It's Jimmy's Egg!" Priceless!

Halloween Night! We had friends over for chili and snacks before trick-or-treating. This is a picture of the kids before hitting the neighborhood!

Our family.
Adriana trick-or-treating at our neighbor and friends' house. When I took outdoor photos last night, my focus was having issues so all of my outdoor pictures are a bit blurry.

Last night the girls left a good amount of their candy for the Great Pumpkin in return for a surprise. These are pictures from this morning - so excited!

Breakfast!
You will have to wait until next weekend's post to find out what the Great Pumpkin brought! :)

Happy 30th Birthday, Mommy!

Today is Mommy's 30th birthday! It was a casual Monday but special nonetheless. In the evening we went out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, and then came back home for cake. Daddy and the girls made this cake and isn't it adorable?!?!

Perfect and delicious!

Getting serenaded with "Happy Birthday!"

Getting a little help with blowing out the candles. Gabriella is such a sweetheart!
Adriana did an encore performance after Mommy blew out the candles. Here she is singing "Happy Birthday" to Mommy again.
What a cutie!

Thank you to my family for making my 30th birthday so special. I am blessed to have such a wonderful family - both near and far - and look forward to spending many more birthdays with each of them!

Fun with Pumpkins!

Tonight we had some pumpkin fun. Nonnie and G-Pa sent these cute pumpkin decorating kits. One is Woody from Toy Story and the other is Spider-Man. The girls loved these! Here are a few pictures from our pumpkin fun.

Pumpkins and Parade!

Today Daddy had the day off because it's Columbus Day so we spent the afternoon at a pumpkin patch. We had a lot of fun exploring the mounds of pumpkins and baskets of squash and gourds. There also was a petting/feeding area with goats and llamas. Here are some pictures from our afternoon adventure:

Picking out what they liked. So much to choose from!
Loading our selections into our wagon.

So excited about PUMPKINS!
Adriana thought it was so much fun that the goats fed right out of her hand.
Gabby loved feeding the goats. She just adores animals and is always up for anything!

Friday night our town's high school had their homecoming parade and game. Gabriella and Adriana's dance academy had four trailers and dancers in the parade - the girls and Mommy rode in one of the trailers. We had a lot of fun!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Adriana!

Happy Birthday, Adriana! We had a fun weekend celebrating Adriana's birthday! It's hard to believe our baby is already two! She is such a sweet, fun, lovable and caring little girl and we are so blessed to have her be a part of our family.

We greeted her in her crib this morning. She was so excited for her birthday. When we said, "Happy Birthday, Adri!" She said "Happy Birthday!" back to us. It was so cute! She did it all day whenever she was wished a happy birthday.
Gabby climbed into her crib to give her birthday hugs and kisses! What a wonderful big sister!
Adriana opened her gifts right after she woke up. She got coloring books and crayons. She loves to color and draw.
She also got the movie Gnomeo & Juliet. The girls love this movie and we have watched it several times already.
Her favorite gift was from Gabby. Gabby picked out a Brobee pillow from the show Yo Gabba Gabba. This is Adriana's favorite show!
Adriana gave Gabby a big hug for the gift!
Eating yummy cinnamon rolls for breakfast.
Before church in an outfit Nonnie & G-Pa got her for her birthday.
Adriana trying out her new Dora bike helmet and bike bell she got from Mommy & Daddy. Mommy and Daddy also got her Dora panties and a potty book. She seems to be in the beginning stages of showing interest in the potty. We are keeping our fingers crossed!
Sisters riding bikes.
Birthday dinner - macaroni and meatballs! She is a true Italian Baby! It's her favorite meal and she makes a mess of it!
Singing "Happy Birthday!" Adriana got to pick out any cake she wanted and she chose a Halloween theme. So we made into a big cupcake, which she loved!
Yummy cake!
Birthday Girl!
After a long day, she took a rest with her new favorite toy!

Happy Birthday, Adriana! We love you so much and hope you have a wonderful year ahead. You have brought so much love and joy to our lives. Thank you for being the caring and loving little girl that you are! We love you!

Saturday night we decided to get into the Halloween spirit and went with one of David's coworker's and his daughter to a Halloween Castle in a community not far from us in Tulsa. Once it was dark, we went on a spooky hayride, which lasted for about 20 minutes. It was pretty good and age appropriate for the girls but we couldn't take any photos. We also walked through and Enchanted Boardwalk with lots of Halloween inflatables. We had a fun time and plan to go back again next year.

There were some Disney characters. Here the girls are with Belle.
Riding ponies at dusk.

What funny girls!
