Dance Recital and Tumbling Showcase!

This weekend was full of activities for the girls. On Friday evening we attended Adriana's Baby Ballet recital at her dance studio. This is their end of the year showcase and it was adorable! Adriana really enjoyed her first ballet class and improved so much throughout the year.

Posing before her recital.
A good luck hug from her Big Sis!
Stretching at the beginning.
What a beautiful ballerina!
So graceful.
This is a clip of "I'm A Little Teapot" and "Shoo Fly." These are Adriana's favorite ones and so stinkin' adorable, too!

What a wonderful and cheerful ballerina! She has her medal and bouquet of flowers from Daddy, Mommy and Gabby. We are so proud of her!
What a cute bunch!
My tiny dancers!

Saturday afternoon we attended Gabriella's Tumbling Showcase. Gabby's dance recital will be next month, but this weekend family and friends were invited to attend the end of the year showcases for the tumbling classes.

All ready to go.
What a strong bridge.
Somersault.
Starting her cartwheel.
Little Sister wanted a front row seat.
Balancing the beam.
She got a trophy! Way to go Gabby!

This is footage of Gabby doing cartwheels. As she completes them on the first mat, you can hear little hands clapping. That's Adriana cheering on her Big Sister. Then notice Gabby's reaction when she sees Adriana doing it. Adriana is seated toward the bottom of the screen. She wanted to be up close watching her sister. Makes my heart melt.

Smiles all around for the great gymnast!
I am a proud Mommy!
We had a wonderful weekend and really enjoyed watching the girls excel in their activities. They work so hard and we are so proud of them! This weekend it became apparent how quickly they are growing up. It's bittersweet.

A Beautiful Spring Day!

What a fun and beautiful weekend we enjoyed! G-Pa and a friend visited us this past weekend during their travels across the Midwest and South. We had a lot of fun on Sunday. We went to one of Daddy's friend's land where we fished, experienced fourwheeling and the enjoyed the beautiful day. Here are some pictures from our fun afternoon.

A view of the beautiful land and blue sky!
Fishing in the pond. The girls had so much fun catching fish with their new poles.
Daddy fishing.
G-Pa fishing.
Keeping with the outdoors theme, in the evening after dinner, the girls roasted marshmallows in the chiminea to make s'mores. G-Pa and Nonnie gave them a box of gifts and this s'mores making set was in it. They had a blast!
The sticks were as big as them!
We had a fun two days with our company. We are so appreciative of Daddy's friend who invited us to his land for a wonderful day of outdoor fun!

Easter 2012!

Happy Easter! We are blessed to have this special day to remember Jesus' unconditional love for each of us! As each year passes, I gain a better understanding and I am humbled by the love God and Jesus has shown for us through Jesus' Crucifixion and Resurrection. To celebrate this joyous day, we found goodies left by the Easter Bunny, attended Easter Mass, had an Easter egg hunt and enjoyed a delicious dinner as a family of four.

The Bunny left his prints on our kitchen floor leading to the girls gifts.
He brought them Disney Princesses fishing poles, books, a Strawberry Shortcake DVD and the movie Ramona and Beezus.
Love this look on Adriana's face!
Searching for our Easter baskets. Gabby found Adriana's behind the bookcase.
Gabby found her basket in the bathtub. Daddy's was hidden behind the dining room drapes and Mommy's was in the oven. What a funny Easter Bunny!
Tasting out the goods. The girls are wearing their new pjs from Nonnie and G-Pa.
In their pretty dresses before Mass. They really do love each other (most days). :)
A little attitude. How does that saying go? "Little girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice..."

They love their Daddy and Daddy loves his little girls, too.
Mommy loves her babies. It's amazing how big they are now.
Gabby running around on the hunt for eggs.
Adriana ate the candy as she hunted. It was really cute!
Easter love!
More candy!
We hope you had a joyous and memorable Easter, too!

T-ball tournament and Easter eggs!

We had a fun and busy weekend. Gabby's t-ball team participated in a pre-season tournament on Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, her team's jerseys were on back order so the team wore the uniform sans the jersey. They were told to wear any shirt with a number so she sported her #40 Notre Dame football jersey. Her actual number is 5 (photos to come).

In the dugout before their first game. The team is made up of 4-7 year olds. She is the tiniest one of course, but we think one of the best on the team. As we say, she's small but mighty!
Her first at bat.
Running to first. Look at that stride!
On first.
Fielding a ground ball. She played at the pitcher spot during the first game.
On third.
Scoring a run. Gabby touches the plate before the catcher has possession of the ball.
On Sunday after the final game all the girls were presented with their medals. This is Gabby receiving one.
She is so proud! We are proud parents, too. She plays hard, hustles and has fun.

This evening we dyed eggs in celebration of Easter. The girls love this so much. Gabby remembered exactly what we had to do to dye the eggs. Her memory is remarkable. We used a Tinkerbell dye set. The girls got to use a little "pixie dust," too.

Love 'em!
Having fun with the "pixie dust" glitter.
Concentrating on her creation.
Look at our beautiful girls (and eggs)!
