Gabby's Nationals Competition

Gabby competed in the Talent on Parade Nationals Competition last week. She qualified for Nationals back in January. She had her best performance of the year and did very well overall. It was a very competitive group of girls. We are so proud of her strong work ethic, enthusiasm and positive attitude throughout the year. You are our star!

Celebrating 10 Years of Marriage!

It's truly hard to believe David and I celebrate 10 years of marriage today. It's been an incredible decade with many blessings and some trials along the way. Weathering the rough terrain always makes the good times more meaningful. And we've had far more amazing and remarkable moments to celebrate. Here's a quick overview of our milestones and accomplishments since June 26, 2004:

- 4 addresses (1 townhome and 3 houses)

- 4 cities (Overland Park, Fairway, Lawrence & Jenks) in 2 states (Kansas & Oklahoma)

- 1 dog (we miss our sweet Mia) and a litter of puppies for 7 weeks

- 3 beautiful, happy and healthy daughters

- 2 Masters degrees

-  many jobs, promotions and a relocation

And an abundance of memories, pictures, videos (and our blog) that have captured it all! It's been wonderful. My heart is full!

Our Vacations!

This past week the girls had a great time staying with Nonnie & G-Pa in Iowa. What a blast! I mean, they were disappointed when we came to pick them up! Ha! Here are a few photos from their vacation...

While they were having a fantastic time with their Grandparents for the week, David and I were in beautiful San Diego. We had a magnificent time celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary in the sunshine while exploring the city. Here are a few photos from our stay:

We truly want to thank my parents for watching the girls for us so that we could enjoy some time just the two of us. They all had so much fun! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We love you so much!

Summer is off to a roaring start!

Summer is fun fun fun so far! The first week in June Gabriella & Adriana attended Spirit Camp at Bishop Kelley High School. Both girls attended cheer camp in the morning and Gabby attended dance in the afternoon (we thought it would be a bit too much for Adriana to go all-day). They had a ton of fun! They brought home spirit sticks and prizes every day. On the last day we got to watch them perform and show us what they learned. It was a lot of fun and both girls did a great job!

The second week in June Gabby attended a Christian outdoor camp, Camp Loughridge, where she canoed, swam, hiked and did lots of fun thing. Adriana attended summer play days that week at her preschool. She made crafts, played in the school's splash pad and so many other fun activities. These girls are loving their summer so far!

Christina is just so darling right now. She is into everything and talking a lot. She loves to gives hugs and kisses. She really melts our hearts.

Last Day of School

It's hard to believe we wrapped up another school year. Both big girls had great first grade and pre-school experiences. 

Gabby is a wonderful reader and excelling well in math. We are really proud of her. She brought home stellar report cards each quarter. Adriana did magnificent this year, too. She loves school and we received great remarks and comments about her from her teachers. And sweet Christina attended an in-home daycare this year one day each week for a few hours. She did well with the adjustment and her childcare providers really enjoyed her. We are so fortunate to have had a successful school  year!
