Fluttering 3rd Birthday Fun!

Happy Birthday, Gabriella! We can't believe it's been 3 years since your arrival into our lives! We are so lucky to be your parents. You are such a loving, polite and amazing little girl. We love you so much!

This afternoon we hosted a purple and pink butterfly theme birthday party for Gabby. We invited family and friends and it was a fabulous time! We feel so fortunate to have such wonderful people in our daughters' lives. Gabriella had a great time and we hope everyone who attended did, too! Your presence made the day extra special!

When Gabby got woke up this morning we brought her downstairs to give her presents from us. She was super excited when she saw all the gifts by the fireplace.

Skippyjon Jones - one of her favorite books read at school. Gabby's t-shirt nightgown was a surprise from Daddy. (It's an inside joke but she loves to wear t-shirt nightgowns to bed.)

Gabby absolutely loves the Pigeon books by Mo Willems. Nana bought Gabby her first Pigeon book for Christmas and since then we have checked out a few others from the library. We surprised Gabby with a Pigeon t-shirt and a copy of The Pigeon Wants a Puppy.

All of the gifts for Gabriella - the others included a paper bag puppet activity set, a butterfly notebook and a light up flower pen, ladybug stickers, new Nintendo DS styluses and screen protectors, a pink canvas basket for her toys, and her first sleeping bag!

Below is an assortment of photos from Gabriella's birthday party. We had more than 30 people in attendance and we took more than 200 photos today! (We love our new camera!)

Food and birthday cake table.

Birthday cake! Resembles her invitations!

The main attraction at the activity center was the HUGE climbing structure. The kids and adults loved it! So much fun! That's Gabby at the top.

Climbing with Jaxon.

Jumping on the music piano!

Aunt Megan and Adriana. Adriana was such a good sport at the party. She had fun, too!

Playing in the science room. The turntable and the confetti and paper butterflies were a hit!

Opening gifts. Our family and friends were very generous. Gabriella received many great new toys, books, activities and clothes! Thank you to everyone!

Gabby has been asking for a violin. Nonna and G-Pa got her a toy one (and a real one - scroll down to check it out!)

In her darling party hat from Margot, Eric, Barb and Andrew. So adorable and a definite keepsake for the years to come!

Gabby playing her real violin from Nonna and G-Pa. We are hoping we can find somewhere she can start taking lessons since she is so interested in learning.

Sitting with her friends at the party table waiting to sing and eat cake.

Singing "Happy Birthday!"

Blowing out her candle.

This is a photo of the cookie party favors we made a few nights before the party. Each person left with one and we had special treat bags for the kids, too.

Family photo taken a N & G's later in the evening.

When we got home tonight, Gabby had a chance to play with nearly every gift. This is what our living room looked like for a while. She LOVES everything! Thank you to all of you who made Gabriella's birthday so special!

Happy Birthday, Gabriella! We love you!
