Starting a New Chapter...

Well, it's old news but in case you don't know, David accepted a promotion in the fall with his employer. He is now the CEO of the Oklahoma Region. An incredible opportunity and very deserving!

However, this new position requires our family to relocate to Oklahoma City, which is an hour and a half from Tulsa. Back in the fall, we decided we would wait until after the school year to move our family as David would be working out of both offices for several months. But, we informed the girls of this upcoming change in the fall and as expected they were very sad. We are all still very sad to leave. This place feels like home and we have met wonderful people and families that we know we will stay connected with in the years ahead.

In the last two months, several pieces have fallen into place for this move. Our house went under contract in late February after just two weeks on the market. The following week we learned that the girls got into the Catholic school we had hoped and prayed they would be able to attend next year. A few weeks later we found a house in Oklahoma City that fits us very well, particularly with its location as it is very close to the girls' school and a convenient location to David's office Downtown. So, we are making progress as we close out the school year.

Today we closed on our house and a few days ago moved into corporate housing in Tulsa for the next two months. We close on our house in OKC in May.

Before we drove off from the house one last time, I took this picture on a very pretty April day...

We enjoyed this house very much the last 4 years. Several wonderful memories made as our baby girls grew up.
We will keep you posted with moving developments. Here's to new opportunities and new homes!
