While Mom & Dad are away, the little girls play, play and play...

Let's just say the girls had more fun than we did... The weekend before last our family drove to Iowa to visit my family. The girls stayed with Nonna & G-Pa for the week while David and I were at Lido Beach in Florida. We flew out of Des Moines early Monday morning and returned on Friday. The girls had the time of their lives! Last year we went to San Diego and they stayed with Nonna & G-Pa and it went well so they offered to do it again and it was another success! Here are some photos from their week of fun and spoiling:

Nonna treated the girls to some fun hair accents. So cute! Adriana looks so mature in this picture. She starts kindergarten very soon. 

Gabby looks so much older in this photo. It's hard to believe she starts 3rd grade in August. 

And the pampering goes on... pedicures and manicures!

And while they had loads of fun, David and I spent a week in the sun and on the beach at a resort and it was wonderful! Lido Beach is a very beautiful and laid back area in Sarasota. We visited the area a few years ago when we went to Longboat Key and enjoyed Lido Key just as much.

A big thank you to my parents for taking care of our girls so we could have some time away after a very chaotic year. My dad was busy with work most of the week so my mom was a real champ (Aunt Danielle, too!) taking care of the girls. My mom was always fun and quick on her feet with my brother and I when we were growing up so I knew they were in great hands. The girls had the best time! I am fortunate to have a wonderfully supportive family!
