What a fun and exciting week it has been! Yesterday was Gabriella's first dance recital. She did a great job! We are so proud of her! Dress rehearsal was early in the morning and the recital was in the evening. Here are some photos and videos from the day:
In the dressing room before rehearsal. She loves her costume. Her number was called "Me and My Teddy Bear." They danced with teddybears dressed to match their costumes. Beyond adorable!

Below are two videos from Saturday morning. The first is of Gabby having fun in the dressing room before taking the stage for rehearsal. The second is of the actual rehearsal. I was on the opposite side of the auditorium (due to a miscommunication) so it's a wide shot. The beginning is a little jumpy as I was in panic mode once I knew I was on the wrong side. :) Gabby is the third little girl on the left. She did wonderfully at the rehearsal and recital. As you will see, she knew it all! We are so very proud of her! I have a closer video of Gabby given to me by a little girl's mom who Gabby stood next to, but since it isn't my video I don't feel comfortable posting it. If I get her permission, I may share a little later.
After the recital she received flowers and gifts from family. She was so exited to have everyone's love and support!

Yesterday was Nana's birthday so we invited everyone to our house after Gabby's performance for pizza and cake. We also celebrated Daddy's completion of his MBA after three long years of hard work and Gabriella's successful first year of dance.

Blast from Mommy's Past! Nonna recently went through some things in Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandpa Fiorante's attic and found some of Mommy's old dance outfits and costumes.We received a box of goodies on Thursday. Warning: You are about to enter the 80's zone!
Flashdance, Baby! Look at those leg warmers! This was Mommy's first leotard when she started dance at age 3. Probably from 1984 or thereabout.

Gabriella is wearing one of Mommy's Halloween costumes from probably 1984. Mommy wore this cheerleading outfit to her 3rd birthday party (I think), which was a costume party.

On Wednesday, Aunt Megan took Gabby to get a manicure and pedicure as it was part of Gabby's fourth birthday gift. Gabby loved it! The people at the salon gave her a small toy for her good behavior.
